Problem Solving Workshop

This workshop will enable individuals to identify and prioritize problems, find root cause, identify the best solution, and develop and implement plans to resolve issues.

Concepts are presented with process handouts and questioning guides, and a case is used to practice the concepts from start to finish (in small teams).

Course Overview

Audience: Any individuals who are responsible for troubleshooting, decision making or project management (i.e. quality, customer service, engineering, etc.) Objectives: Learners will be able to recognize issues needing their attention more quickly  Learners will be able to prioritize and establish action items for issues more effectively Learners will be able to find root cause of problems more easily Learners will be able to choose among different alternatives more clearly Learners will be able to plan for potential problems and contingencies more thoroughly. Gains: Less rework and redoing of jobs Better teamwork and less conflict Faster resolution of organizational issues More buy-in and acceptance for conclusions reached More accurate and complete analysis of organizational issues Better documentation of information and process used to reach conclusions.
