Coaching Workshop - 3 Day Program

This workshop is designed to enable individuals to optimize the performance of others by applying the unique coaching skills of observing, questioning, listening, and giving feedback, at the appropriate coachable moments, and in the most effective manner.

The intensive agenda includes one discovery case and four practice case studies (in teams), as well as two role play exercises.

Course Overview

Audience: Any individuals in a position of influence who have direct or indirect responsibilities for managing, mentoring or facilitating others. Objectives: Upon completion of this course learners will be able to: Help others gain confidence and competence in their roles Help others think more objectively and thoroughly when tackling any issue Build consensus for plans by enabling others to come to their own conclusions Give more constructive and comforting feedback Understand the distinction between coach vs. supervisor vs. technical expert and when each role is appropriate. Gains: More successful implementation of plans due to better process and higher buy-in for conclusions reached by others Greater credibility and respect among employees and colleagues Better relationships with subordinates and others Less time spent studying and understanding current issues and other subject matter (more time empowering and coaching others to apply their expertise) Better leveraging of organizational resources by freeing up managers' roles from (less) doing to (more) empowering of others to do.
