Caroline
Thornton Founder of NADUM
Caroline
Thornton, Founder of NADUM, has been a professional facilitator
for over ten years. A graduate of the University of Western Ontario
(Psychology), she has worked as a trainer and consultant in Canada,
the U.S., Australia, Singapore and Europe.
Assignments have ranged from groups
of 4 or 5 individuals to sessions with over 100 participants. She works
with every level of employee from the executive team to new hires.
Caroline has particular expertise
in designing workshops that enable teams to resolve issues or work through
contentious topics. NADUM has developed joint ventures with other organizations
in order to expand the offerings to clients. As an example, Caroline
leads electronic workshops in partnership with Queen's University (Kingston,
Canada) in which participants use laptops to capture and evaluate information.
The NADUM clients include a wide
range of companies and public-sector organizations. Ministries, universities,
not-for-profit agencies and small businesses are as much part of our
portfolio as the Fortune 100 companies. Cross-functional teams and multi-cultural
participants are a special focus for all NADUM facilitators. Banking,
insurance, pharmaceuticals, oil, and food-processing are industries
in which we have considerable experience.
Caroline chose the name NADUM
(Never a Dull Moment) to reflect the life of a facilitator, but it is
also indicative of her own lifestyle. Away from client assignments, she and her
husband breed and race Standardbred horses. She actually delivers the foals!.
As Founder of NADUM she loves the challenge of building a team of expert
facilitators who leads teams to compromise, co-operation and consensus.
